I’m still working on that layout. Although… I’m playing with the idea of hosting my portfolio on Tumblr or using Tumblr. I have a vague idea of how it would work so yeah. :]

I have more content coming up under the ‘words’ section but I’m thinking of doing a complete redesign of this site. I have a pretty good idea that will let me have less pages and it’ll be easier on the coding for me :]

I’m currently in the Philippines and will be for the next few weeks. I’ll have all the time in the world to make new art and whatever, but no time to scan my work or put it up on here. I *do* have things coming up though :]

- Added 2 new affiliates
- Added 1 layout to the digital section
- Added 2 illustrations/drawings to the digital section

I have some new content to put in the physical section although it will have to wait until I finish cleaning out my new room. In other news, I’ll be going to the Philippines next Wednesday so I won’t be able to update/work on this portfolio as often.

So now I’m being hosted by Noelle@ZeroExposure.net it’s going great so far! The URL is so much cooler and I have a much more personal web host so it’s cool.

I’ve recently made two sketches which are in my sketchbook. My problem? I have no fixer and I need to install the scanner we have at home on my computer. Expect them to be up in a few days :]

I know, I know. I only had the original layout up for a few days. So let’s break this down:

1) I decided to use Shadowbox because it was lightweight and easy to install. It also had customizable features and it could show HTML boxes (unlike lightbox). All in all, it was basically what I needed. I’m still a bit iffy about how the HTML pages stick to the edges of the box and how the box is wayyy too big for them but I’m learning to deal with it.

2) I have a new layout with a totally different style. I actually had no idea how I was going to do the boxes with the rounded corners, but I dealt with it. It was kinda fun trying to figure everything out though. I like this layout and I probably won’t get bored of it too fast, so I’m hoping I’ll stick with it for a while.

3) There isn’t much content, due to me not HAVING any content to put in. I’m working on that though, in fact, to add to the physical section, I’m working on a sketch of the King of the Dead from Lord of the Rings. So far so good.

4) I’m looking for a good subdomain host while I try to convince my mom to let me get a domain. I’d prefer someone with a cool domain that sounds good with ‘Firiath’. If there are any people offering subdomains, I’d like to hear from you. I’m fine with ftp, html/css, and basic php.

5) I’m also looking for people to swap links with me. I know it’s not very common to have portfolios with ‘affiliates’ but it would be nice to get some traffic to this place. If anyone wants to trade links, email me at firiath@live.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Trying to add the finishing touches to the layout and then I’ll start putting in the information. Thinking of installing lightbox for the portfolio, especially for the photos and drawing sections. I’m trying to find a better alternative though.
